A federal election has been announced, tentatively for Saturday 14th September 2013, (Make sure you are enrolled to vote).

Murwillumbah is within ‘electoral division of Richmond‘, along with¬†Bangalow, Brunswick Heads, Byron Bay, Kingscliff, Lennox Head, Mullumbimby, Nimbin, Ocean Shores, Pottsville, Suffolk Park and Tweed Heads

As we know, voting is compulsory for eligible citizens, so on behalf of visitors to this site (300 daily according to webalizer)  will, over the months leading up to the election, feature interviews with local candidates as we try to find out what they are on about, and what they hope to achieve on behalf of residents of the and Australia in general.

We voters have to make crucial choices on Election Day. if you have any questions you’d like us to add to our list, reply below.
